Vaginal Tablet Tester

The Vaginal Tablet Tester Model VTT is specially designed for the testing of vaginal tablets.

The VTT utilised the same sample holder as the Suppository tester Model SDT 1000, in accordance with Ph. Eur. Chapter 2.9.2. It is combined with a low form beaker and heater/stirrer unit.

The sample holder is placed in the beaker, which is filled with the test medium (preheated to 36-37 degrees C) such that is just covers the perforations on the upper plate. The tablet to be tested is now placed on the plate and covered with a separate glass plate to maintain appropriate conditions of humidity. The test is then repeated for two more tablets. All samples should disintegrate within the stated time.
